By inputting the subject distance, focal length, and f-stop, the app calculates the near and far distances of acceptable focus, providing a clear visualization of the depth of field.

For example, envision taking a photo of a bee on a flower with only the bee in focus. By setting the subject distance at 200 mm, f-stop at f/5.6, and focal length at 50 mm, the app reveals a depth of field of 3.41 mm. Adjusting the settings to f/22 extends the depth of field to 13.39 mm, achieving the desired effect of sharp focus on the bee while blurring the background.
